Evidently beer in checked luggage is permissible. The restrictions that apply are you need to wrap every bottle well or buy special Styrofoam containers. Mark the boxes clearly and the airline will handle the boxes carefully and put them through a special X-ray for fragile items. Usually I’ve been restricted to 70 lbs. for check on baggage so weigh it before you get to the airport because extra baggage can be real expensive. Last time I left Brussels they were asking 370 euro for extra luggage. Below is the address to the TSA section on alcoholic beverages.
