Learning With Monkeys | November 28th, 2006
Ok this came up a while ago but I never got around to following up on it. The place I work has a lot of people. More show up all the time. It is a little overwhelming when you realize that you once knew everyone and now you seriously don’t.
Thanks to the Web - I now know it is not my fault. It’s not because I’m lazy, aloof, or just a shut in. My tiny human brain just can’t handle it.
Read and enjoy the enlightenment

I actually tried to explain the monkeysphere to Lanham back during my final days at RS so I could illustrate why I had decided to leave… short version: if none of the monkeys in the monkeyspheres of upper management understand or support R&D, there’s no point in trying to do R&D because you don’t have any representation in the monkeysphere where business decisions are made.
In retrospect, citing PWOT in an effort to build a persuasive argument probably wasn’t such a hot idea. :)
